About Us

Hello and welcome to Key School of Motoring.

I'm Steve Yarnold and I have been teaching people to drive successfully since late 1989 and run Key School of Motoring since 1991. I'm a high grade instructor and also hold a fleet trainer cert and have an NVQ level 3 qualification in driving instruction.

Key S.O.M. is an independent school and not tied to any large national chain, so we can operate cheaper than a lot of the larger driving schools.

The areas we cover are Cannock, Bloxwich, Walsall, Pelsal, Willenhall, Wednesfield, Wednesbury, Darlaston, Featherstone, Hednesford, Brownhills, Great Wyrley, Cheslyn Hay and all surrounding areas.

As a small independent driving school we rely on reputation and therefore try our very best to ensure you are taught safely and efficiently. We are fully insured and the car you will be taught in is a new Peugeot 207. It is duel controlled and air conditioned. It has a manual gearbox. Also an automatic car should be available for 2010.

We specialise in teaching all age groups, young and old, nervous and confident alike and in the past we have taught 17 year olds all the way up to a 64 year old lady from Lichfield.
